Draft custom rules with AI
Describe a restriction, then review its generated JSON and contradiction check.
Write the policy
Open Policies → Draft with AI. Turn on AI drafting if prompted, then describe the roles, clients, connections, tools or folders and the intended restriction. Leave out people’s names, email addresses and secrets. Select Generate policy JSON.
Review the generated JSON
Check the generated rules, explanations and contradiction results alongside the existing rules being retained. Test a representative request against the draft. Return to the description to revise it, then select Publish custom policies when ready.
What drafting can change
Drafting adds proposed restrictions; it does not publish itself, remove existing rules or grant access. Unsupported conditions are reported for review. Use Add policy for exact principal or team selections, or Advanced options → Edit JSON directly for manual editing.
What Durin sends
Your description, published custom rules with member identities removed, and workspace connection, tool and client IDs go through OpenRouter to providers with zero data retention that do not train on prompts. Durin does not store the description. Audit records who drafted and the outcome.
Troubleshooting
A generated rule names an unavailable target
Correct the description and generate it again, or use the rule builder to select a current connection, tool or principal.
