Review requests in Slack
Deliver reviews to a private channel or linked administrators and record decisions.
Connect the workspace
Open Organization → Connected services → Slack.
- Select Connect Slack and authorize the intended Slack workspace.
- Choose a private approvals channel and invite the Durin app to it.
- Choose Private channel, Direct messages to linked administrators, or Channel and direct messages.
- Have each reviewer link their own account under Your Slack identity in personal settings → Profile. Reconnect Slack if its updated permissions are required for direct messages.
Record a review
Open the notification, inspect the request and choose Allow once, Allow always or Deny for an exact action. Confirm the choice, or use View in Durin for the full review. Connection requests have their own approval choices. Your current Durin role and the self-approval restriction still apply.
Follow the result
A decision updates the request’s notification copies. Approval does not execute the tool; the requester retries the exact call. Inspect Recent notification deliveries in Slack approvals if a message is missing or uncertain.
Troubleshooting
A linked person cannot review
Confirm their Slack account is linked to the intended Durin identity and workspace, and that they remain an active administrator other than the requester.
