Add a provider connection
Install and enable one provider from the connection directory.
Before you begin
Use the Admin workspace. Have the provider account owner available and choose a harmless reviewed read for testing. Your first connection is free. Add payment details for additional connections and complete payment before paid activation. The Durin sandbox is always free and does not count as a connection.
Install the provider
Follow the MCP provider setup guide for the available path. GitHub, Slack and Notion select built-in endpoints; other providers need reviewed Custom MCP setup. Open Admin → Connections → All providers and select the provider card.
- Select the provider and save its draft setup.
- Use Sign in to provider in the setup guide.
- Discover tools, save permission review, and obtain the matching deployed validator release.
- Complete the read-only readiness test.
- Resolve blockers, choose Review billing and Confirm and enable, then Enable reviewed tool.
Check member access
Have an intended member complete personal authorization, run the reviewed read through their client, and inspect its activity outcome.
Troubleshooting
Sign-in succeeds but activation is blocked
Read the first incomplete checkpoint. A discovered tool needs a verified validator and an allowed resource. Resolve the indicated blocker, repeat the read-only test, and review a fresh activation preview.
Frequently asked questions
How do I try the Durin sandbox?
In My workspace, open Connections, choose Available, and request Durin sandbox. An administrator opens the request in Approvals and selects Approve request. Durin creates the sandbox if needed; no provider account or payment is required. It reads synthetic documents and creates synthetic tickets without contacting external providers. Existing workspace policies apply, and a disabled sandbox stays disabled until an administrator enables it.
Is a directory listing proof the provider is ready?
No. Authentication, provider acceptance, reviewed validators, and testing must pass in your deployment. A saved draft is not active or billed.
