Manage team membership

Create a group and maintain its members in the correct source.

Create a local team

In the Admin workspace, open Teams.

  1. Choose Create group and give it a name.
  2. Select the intended people and save.
  3. Update locally managed membership in Durin when people change roles.

Directory-managed teams

Manage synced membership in the identity provider. Confirm synchronization before testing access. Creating a team alone does not restrict connections; assign the installation’s team scope separately.

Troubleshooting

A membership edit is overwritten

Check whether the group is directory-managed. Make the change in the identity provider that owns its membership.

Removing one team did not remove connection access

Check the person’s other memberships and the installation’s scope. A connection with no team assignment is organization-wide.

Frequently asked questions

Can someone belong to several teams?

Yes. Membership in any assigned team can satisfy connection scope. Team policy denials still apply and are not cancelled by a more permissive team.
