Connect a client to one connection

Limit a client’s discovery and calls to one saved MCP connection.

Copy the connection URL

Open the connection in your personal workspace.

  1. Choose Set up connection URL, then Copy connection URL.
  2. Add that exact URL as a remote HTTP MCP server in your client.
  3. Authenticate for that URL as its owner.
  4. Refresh discovery and verify that only the selected connection’s tools appear.

What the URL selects

The address is your personal MCP URL followed by the saved connection ID (conn_…). Discovery, calls, and automatic catalog refresh stay within that connection. Team access, credentials, policy, and approvals still apply.

Troubleshooting

My existing token is rejected

Authenticate for the exact connection URL. A token for the full gateway or another connection is not valid for this URL.

Two connections use the same provider

Copy the intended installation’s URL. The saved connection ID identifies it; the provider name does not.
