Review an exact approval

Approve or deny one action, then check its exact retry.

Review the request

An approval-required response means no upstream action ran. A different active administrator must review the request.

  1. Open Approvals in the Admin workspace and select the request.
  2. Check the requester, tool, resource, argument digest, policy and schema versions, and expiry.
  3. Choose Approve exact action or Deny action.
  4. After approval, ask the requester to retry the identical call before expiry, then inspect the execution outcome.

Keep the retry exact

A grant binds the identity, action, arguments, resources, versions, and expiry. Changed context or a consumed grant requires a new review. Check an uncertain dispatched write in the provider before attempting another write.

Troubleshooting

I cannot approve my own request

Self-approval is rejected. Ask a different active administrator to review the action.

An approved retry is rejected

Compare the arguments, resource, versions, and expiry. Check for membership or other context changes. An old approval cannot authorize the changed request.

Frequently asked questions

Does approval run the action automatically?

No. The requester must retry the exact call while its grant and authorization context remain valid.
